CANADIAN VOICE FOR ANIMALS
AN ORGANIZATION THAT PROMOTES THE NECESSITY OF
SPAYING AND NEUTERING ALL OF OUR FOUR-LEGGED COMPANIONS.
THE BEGINNING
Dear Animal Lovers:
In 1993, The Canadian Voice for Animals Foundation was set up with the intention of walking from Vancouver to Carmel, California, where the president of the C.V.F.A.F., Earle Bingley would meet up with Ms. Doris Day, America’s St. Francis, and then continue on to Los Angeles, where the Actors and Others for Animals would greet Earle. Earle’s goal was to walk across the U.S.A. and with any luck meet President Clinton and hold a press conference with regard to the unnecessary killing of our beloved four-legged pets. From Washington, the walk would continue up the Eastern Coast to Maine and then to Nova Scotia, and then the long trek across Canada. Earle’s ultimate goal, was to along the way, solicit donations to set up free spay and neuter clinics in every city and town in the populated sections of North America.
Earle set up the foundation with a lot of thought and planning. For example: He had the endorsement of every major animal foundation in Canada and the United States.
To mention, just a few; The Doris Day Pet Foundation;
The Doris Day Animal League;
Actors and Others for Animals;
The American Humane Association;
The International Society of Animal Rights, Inc;
The Animal Protection Division of the
American Humane Association;
The Los Angeles Regional Humane Association;
The West Vancouver, S.P.C.A., British Columbia;
The Vancouver Regional, S.P.C.A.;
The Vancouver Humane Society;
Earle spent several months preparing to leave on his Heroic trip, but his dream came to an end when he suffered a heart attack and had to cancel two years of hard work. It is said that you can’t keep a good man down; how true that is. Earle is back in his fighting mode and this Website is his way of continuing his crusade against the killing of our pets.
Earle Bingley is one of those very special people that we all want to know, and when he asked me to write the opening page for this Web Site, I jumped at the chance.
The Canadian Voice For Animals is a foundation that begs any of you who should visit this site to please send any amount of money that you can spare to an Animal Foundation of your choice. For Example: If you live in Kentucky, or California, or Toronto, or Vancouver, there are many privately operated animal shelters that specialize in Spaying and Neutering rescued animals, and then they find good homes for them. Earle tells me that he knows for a fact that all animal societies are in desperate need of money. If everyone, in Canada and The United States, pulls together we as a civilized society can stop the horrible killing of these poor defenseless animals. In Canada alone, with a population of thirty-million-plus, more that 2,253, 643 cats and dogs are put down each year. The United States, with a population of over two hundred and fifty million, it is hard to imagine how many unwanted animal are destroyed every year. The words, put to sleep are used to appease our consciences; may God have mercy on our souls.
Please log on to our site and send an e-mail with your thoughts. Earle will try to answer each and everyone who joins his fight to save the Four-leggers that we love so very much.
Sincerely,
Leslie Gour
